My helper and friend Ray flaked for the last two days so I am working on things that do not require two people. I will get back to the canopy fairing when Ray's wife lets him out of the house. This is the lower glass piece on the rudder. I have already done the micro and resin and faired it in. This shop shows the last phase and that is the application of 1.45 oz cloth aver the micro. This prevents cracks later on, This piece is notorious for cracking.
Another shot of the rudder lower glass part.
This is the upper rudder glass. I had not finished the fairing in yet so that is what is shown here. Micro is so easy to sand that it is not worth being careful during the application. It is just slathered on.
This is the vertical stabilizer. The brown is foam that is used as filler and the white is micro. Looks like a mess but with five minutes of sanding it will be ready for the final application of the 1.45 oz glass cloth. If Ray shows up tomorrow and we have time I should finish the glass work on the vertical surfaces and start the horizontal.
