Today I planed on building the entire F704 bulkhead. I took a long diner break and did not finish so I will complete it tomorrow.
This is the elevator/aileron control mount after cutting away the excess to save weight.
Various shots of the control system. The instructions have an error about removing the assembly in one piece, not possible. I am thinking about removing the mounts with all the other parts still attached.
Platenuts riveted to the upper flanges. On the carry through there are only 18 of these, a lot less than on the wing spars!!
Three of the four cover support ribs on the front of F704. One more to go and I will be finished with the preliminary work on F704.
As you can see, the shop is a mess. Tomorrow I will do a full cleaning before starting work on the project, I hate messy shops.
