My neighbor, Paul, helping me rivet the leading edge.

The leading edge is done. Paul says that I work to slow and loaned me a chain saw to cut out the landing light.

I used a unibit and a powered nipper to make the first cut.

After a bunch of filing and work with scotch brite wheels I was happy with the cut out.

The tape strap used to hold the lens while drilling.

Another shot of the same thing.

The finished deal.

The leading edge is now riveted on. The process involved having Paul buck while I shot. We were able to use solid rivets in every hole, but it sure was a pain. I squeezed the skin to spar rivets later but did not get a picture. I also squeezed the forward most rib to spar rivets that are located under the skin of the fuel tank. The instructions do not mention these.
